Tee up for Oct. 3 Golf Scramble benefitting student fund

It’s that time of year again: ACC’s ninth annual Golf Scramble will be Friday, October 3, at Riverside Golf Course, 1020 Grove Blvd., Austin. Check-in begins at 7 a.m. for an 8 a.m. shotgun start.

ACC’s Golf Scramble benefits the Student Emergency Fund. To date, more than $100,000 has been distributed from the fund to help students facing crises that might prevent them from continuing their education, such as significant, uncovered medical costs or living expenses incurred after a natural disaster. Last year’s event raised $25,000 for the fund.

Tournament participants are encouraged to register by Friday, September 26. The cost is $75 per player or $300 per foursome, which covers greens fees, cart, breakfast, lunch, and prizes. Sponsorship opportunities also are available. Prizes will be awarded for first, second, and third place, as well as longest drive and closest to the pin.

Go to the Golf Scramble webpage to learn more or to register online, or contact Alicia Del Rio at (512) 223.7071, or [email protected] for more information.
