This year’s State Employee Charitable Campaign kicked off Wednesday, October 1, and continues until the end of the month.
The campaign gives employees the opportunity to contribute to dozens of charities directly involved with helping Central Texas residents, including the Capital Area Food Bank, the American Red Cross of Central Texas, Capital IDEA, SafePlace, and the Austin Humane Society. Employees also may give to several national and international organizations, such as the March of Dimes and Habitat for Humanity, or even to those in our own ACC community through the ACC Foundation.

Help ACC reach its goal
During the 2013 campaign, ACC employees contributed almost $72,000. This year, the college hopes to collect more than $85,000 in contributions.
“We are proud of ACC’s commitment and concern for individuals in our community,” says Geraldine Tucker, vice president of human resources. “Year after year we are overwhelmed and gratified by our employees’ willingness to open their hearts to those who need an extra helping hand.”
How to give
Contributing to the campaign is easy: Employees may donate through a payroll deduction or make a one-time gift. Donation pledge forms can be obtained from designated SECC campus representatives (see below). Each campus also will have special fundraising activities, including a “Change for Charity” competition to see which campus can collect the most money through donations of spare change.
For more information, visit ACC’s SECC campaign webpage or contact Campaign Coordinator Nicole K. Bell at (512) 223.7997 or [email protected], or a campus campaign representative. For information on the Texas SECC, visit secctx.org.
