ACC Foundation appoints new board members

The Austin Community College (ACC) Foundation has appointed four new members to its Board of Directors.

The 30 member Board is made up of volunteer business and community leaders who oversee the non-profit. Members serve three year terms.

This year’s new appointees include:

  • Stacey Martinez: Partner-in-Charge of the Austin office of Rose Norton Fulbright. She joined the firm 26 years ago and has developed a strong client oriented foundation as a result of her experience representing a range of public and private sector clients in a variety of matters.
  • Rich Lowe: Senior Vice president of Human Resources for St. David’s HealthCare. He is responsible for recruitment and staffing, employment law, performance management, employee relations, and compensation and benefits for the 90-site healthcare system.
  • Dan Keelan: Founder, Next Step Capital Partners. Over the course of his 25-year career, Dan has held a variety of posts ranging from field sales to Chief Executive Officer.
  • John Thornborrow: Managing Partner, Vitesse Capital. In addition to his role with Vitesse, John serves as Chief Financial Officer for Hart InterCivic and Chief Operating Officer and Board Director for Charity Dynamics. Prior to his role at Vitesse, he was an engineer at NASA.

Established in 1991, the ACC Foundation has raised more than $12 million to support college programs and scholarships. In the 2014-15 academic year it awarded over $650,000 in scholarships to 420 ACC students.
