From Humvee to ACC – 2015

ACC will host its annual From Humvee to ACC veterans appreciation and resource fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, at the ACC Veterans Resource Center at ACC Highland (6101 Airport Blvd.).

“We’re here to help veterans reach their goals and make sure they have the greatest chances to succeed,” says Mark Harden, manager of ACC Veterans Affairs. “Our veterans bring unique skills to the workforce. It’s important that we recognize the distinctive challenges they face and ensure they find the support they need moving forward.”

The free event will include guest speakers, refreshments, entertainment, and activities for adults and children. Representatives from community veteran service organizations and the college’s Student Services offices will be available including:

  • Austin Vet Center
  • Goodwill Industries
  • TexVet
  • ACC VetSuccess on Campus
  • ACC Veteran Affairs
  • ACC Student Accessibility Services
  • Military Peer Network
  • Texas Center Point

The event is sponsored by ACC’s Veterans Advisory Committee, Continuing Education, and Veterans Affairs.
