Student success course: Update on faculty training

Instructor training sessions for Austin Community College’s student success course are full.

One hundred and twenty five people have signed up to attend the training required to become success course faculty. The training provides the information and resources faculty need to teach a success course, which eventually will be required for most students who come to ACC with limited college experience.

The college will offer additional training in the fall for those who want to teach a course in the spring. Instructors must have a master’s degree or higher and their department chair or supervisor approval. (Teaching assignments are not guaranteed.) For details or to apply, visit the Student Success Course webpage.

Meanwhile, individuals who are enrolled in a training session but can’t attend or who are signed up for duplicate sessions are encouraged to delete their registration to open a spot for someone else.
