Thursday, October 22 & Friday, October 23| Highland Campus, 6101 Airport Blvd.
Austin Community College hosts two days of free events to help students prepare for their next steps, starting with a transfer fair Thursday, October 22, followed by a major and career fair Friday, October 23. Both events are at Highland Campus (6101 Airport Blvd.).
“ACC is committed to helping students accomplish their goals whether that’s earning a workplace certificate or associate degree or transferring to a four-year university,” says Dr. Richard Rhodes, ACC president/CEO. “These events provide students with clear pathways to success.”
The TACRAO Transfer Fair, featuring representatives from more than 50 universities across the nation, will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, October 22. The fair is a great opportunity for students intending to transfer to a four-year college or university after ACC.
The Major and Career Exploration Day will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. on Friday, October 23. The event is designed for high school seniors who are dual enrolled, high school seniors attending Early College High Schools, and existing ACC students who are unsure of their major. Students will have an opportunity to learn more about ACC’s academic programs and get help selecting a career path. Representatives from all ACC degree and certificate programs will be available to answer questions about their programs and provide information about career options. Activities also include lessons in goal setting, career assessment, and workforce resources.

Students you should check out these events at every opportunity. Take advantage of the services available to you. AND, always ask your professors and others about the profession(s) you are interested in. And, if you’re interested in the Health Professions, come check these out at Texas State! http://www.health.txstate.edu/
