Austin Community College will join organizations around the country to raise awareness about the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse during Red Ribbon Week October 26 – 30.

The week’s activities include an employee workshop on drug and alcohol abuse awareness and prevention, and free confidential drug screening for students.

Deer Oaks, ACC’s Employee Assistance Program provider, will offer the employee workshop from 11 a.m. to noon at the following locations:

• Tuesday, October 27, Highland Business Center; Room 411
• Thursday, October 29, Highland Campus; Room 2202

ACC is committed to providing a safe and healthy environment through its drug and alcohol abuse prevention program for students and employees. Employees can find information about drug-free workplace policies and resources for help on the Drug Abuse and Prevention Program (DAAPP) for Employees website. During Red Ribbon Week employees can pick up a brochure about DAAPP at campus managers’ offices.
