The Austin Community College District (ACC) invites veterans, their families, and the community to a Veterans Day celebration and open house on Friday, November 11, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the ACC Veterans Resource Center at Highland (6101 Airport Blvd.).

“It’s important that we take this day to recognize our veterans,” says BethAnn Warwick, ACC coordinator, Student Services Special Projects. “Our Veterans Resource Center is committed to providing the resources and specialized guidance veterans need to ensure a successful transition into and through college.”

Hosted by ACC Veterans Initiatives and Veterans Affairs, the event is free and open to the public. Light lunch, refreshments, and door prizes are included.
