ACC and JLABS host free workshop for STEM entrepreneurs

The ACC Bioscience Incubator hosts a free workshop to help entrepreneurs connect with investors 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Thursday, May 25, at its offices in ACC Highland (6101 Airport Blvd.).

Hosted in partnership with Johnson & Johnson Innovation (JLABS)​, the workshop, called “Sell Your Science: Best Practices for Developing an Effective Non-Confidential Pitch Deck,” features experts of the craft sharing practical tips on becoming more effective in communicating a business’ story to angel investors and venture capitalists to increase chances of successful fundraising.

The keynote speaker is Dr. Tom Luby, head of JLABS, Texas, Johnson & Johnson Innovation. Previously, Tom was the Senior Director of New Ventures at Johnson & Johnson Innovation, Boston where he focused primarily on cardiovascular & metabolic; infectious diseases and vaccines; and neurobiology.
