Bond projects update: Construction begins at Highland; San Gabriel crews begin installing drywall; Round Rock tops out

Work is progressing on voter-approved bond projects districtwide. Read summaries below and stay-up-to-date on each project through the ACC Bond Construction Projects website.

Highland Phase 2: Construction begins

Construction is set to begin on ACC Highland Phase 2 that will add advanced facilities to prepare students for high-demand careers and nurture local business growth. Community leaders and friends joined ACC September 21 for a ceremonial groundbreaking. The project remains on target for completion in spring/summer 2020 with classes beginning fall 2020. San Gabriel: Structural progression

Construction crews continue work on the structural steel erection of the west and east canopies. In addition, above ceiling work, including the installation of fire sprinkler pipes, plumbing lines, and chilled water piping, continued at all three levels of the building.

Crews began installation of drywall and insulation on the third floor and work progressed on the parking lot.

Round Rock Phase 2: Framework completed

ACC and its construction partners celebrated progress at Round Rock Campus Phase 2 with a topping out celebration Friday, September 15. Construction crews, crafts workers, architects, engineers, and others on the project team gathered to sign a steel beam that will be placed in a stairwell of the new building.
