Student veterans and their families can get helpful information on dealing with debt and buying a home at free workshops May 16 and 23 at ACC’s Highland Business Center, 5930 Middle Fiskville Rd.

“Options for Dealing with Debt” on May 16 explores ways to handle different types of debt, such as credit card debt, student loans, mortgages, car loans, and collection debt.

“Homebuyer Education” on May 23 offers tips and guidance on buying a home, such as calculating home affordability based on income, comparing loan options, and closing on a home. The session also covers budgeting tools and home maintenance.

Both workshops are 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

The workshops are hosted by ACC’s Student Money Management Office and presented by GreenPath Financial Wellness. Sessions are open to any veteran or veteran family; participants do not need to be a current ACC student.
