General Assembly set for Aug. 22; presenters sought

Mark your calendars for Fall General Assembly, Friday, Aug. 22, at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in downtown Austin.

Keynote speaker is Dr. Rob Johnstone, founder and president of the National Center for Inquiry & Improvement. The center helps colleges and universities improve and build upon their existing student success strategies.

Afternoon workshops will be at Highland Business Center from 1:30 to 3 p.m. and 3:15 to 4:45 p.m. Shuttle buses will be available to the Hyatt from HBC and the South Austin Campus.

Be a workshop presenter

Those interested in presenting a workshop should submit the 2014 General Assembly Workshop Proposal form. Suggested topics are student success, faculty development, collaborative learning, customer service, equity and cultural competence, technology use, staff development, and supervisory skills development.
