IT Update: Windows XP Support Discontinued

Beginning April 8, Microsoft will no longer provide ongoing support for the Windows XP operating system. All ACC workstations currently running Windows XP must be replaced.

Windows XP is the predecessor to Windows 7, which has been installed on all new ACC workstations since October 2009.

Employees whose computer qualifies for replacement should complete the computer replacement form as soon as possible. After March 2014 the IT department cannot guarantee support for older computers running Windows XP.

Also, in the coming weeks Internet Explorer 10 will replace Internet Explorer 9. IE 9, the current standard for Windows 7, will no longer be supported by ACC Google Apps/Mail. Support for current versions of both Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome will continue.
