The Office of Student Life (SL) exists to help Austin Community College (ACC) students on their road to success by building relationships with peers, faculty & staff members. Through unique leadership opportunities, mentoring, events & workshops, students are able to actively engage in institutional activities, share their personal and academic challenges, and shape their global perspectives. SL is dedicated to making these pivotal experiences open to all races, ethnicities, genders, religions, and nationalities (see ACC’s Strategic Plan – 1st Goal of Equity and Access). We strive to build our own professional knowledge of diversity and inclusion and encourage that same pursuit of knowledge for all ACC students.
Austin Community College & the Office of Student Life has a zero-tolerance stance regarding events, programs, and/or initiatives that are exclusionary, discriminatory, or otherwise harmful to building an aware, inclusive and equitable community for students. SL promotes an open and thought provoking dialogue, strategies, and initiatives provided by ACC students, faculty, and staff so that our actions and opportunities are equitable.
