A Walk in the Woods – Wilton, CT & NYC

During 4th of July week, I hitched a ride with my friend Alanna to woodsy Connecticut and New York City. The trees in Connecticut were full and green, and the humidity was quite an adjustment! However we had a lot of fun hiking through the woods and spotted some white-tailed deer on our nature walks! Later on we went to the Big City and stopped by Greenwich Village to take in the sights & sounds, grab some food and do some shopping. We rounded out the trip in Queens, New York to visit grandma’s house and eat some authentic Polish cooking.

Favorite Local Cuisine: Pepe’s Pizzeria in New Haven, CT (voted #1 pizza in America!)

Favorite Local Tourist Spot: Mystic Aquarium in Mystic, CT (Beluga whales, penguins and seals!)
