Across the Pond — The UK
Hello y’all! Hope you had an excellent Spring Break! I enjoyed a brief jaunt across the pond (as they call it) to the UK! For everyone who doesn’t know, the UK (United Kingdom) is made up of England, Scotland, Wales & Northern Ireland.
I woke up in the city, near Piccadilly (as they say in the One Republic song), then traveled south to the South Bank of the Thames to see the Shard and some classic London sites. We also went along the North Bank to see the Roman Wall and the castle. That evening we took in a play (Matilda). I loved all the singing and the Latin motto: Bambinatum est Maggitum. That’s a woman after my own heart! (JK)
Some natives recommended a trip down to Sussex to visit the Seven Sisters, some of England’s white cliffs. There were some excellent tea houses in the villages there! I definitely brought lots of chocolate biccies and tea home with me. Mmm-mmm.
