The Student Life Style Guide offers guidelines and tips to students and staff who are looking to create SL-related promotional materials. On this page, you will find instructions on how to use the Student Life and ACC colors and logos, and also recommendations on how create effective flyers, posters, business cards and more.

Proper Logo Usage

The Student Life Logo adheres to particular guidelines in terms of sizing, placement and color. Make sure to stay in compliance with Student Life guidelines when using the logo.

Student Life offers several versions of the logo to accommodate all visual styles. (Additional guidelines for using ACC logos can be found within the full Student Life Style Guide).

Designing a Flyer

Flyer Requirements

  • Include the event title, date, time, location
  • Include a short, clear description (your flyer should be easy to understand and quick to read)
  • Include the SL logo on the flyer (files available here)
  • Include the mandatory ACC Student Accessibility statement in fine print at the bottom of the flyer: “Persons who need an interpreter or other accommodations for this event should contact interpservices@austincc.edu or (512) 223-6155.”
  • Your flyer text must be free of typos and grammatical errors
  • Images, graphics, and language used must be college-appropriate
