4 Reasons Why Engaging with @accTLED on Social Media Leads to Student Success

The ACC Teaching & Learning Excellence Division (TLED) is active on both Facebook and Twitter. Our aim is to connect faculty with each other, events, and services available. If you are curious about why being a part of this online ACC community is beneficial, TLED has compiled a list of the top four reasons to take part:

1. You Stay Up-To-Date on ACC Faculty Events

Our social platforms share reminders about which events are happening when coupled with live updates and photos so you don’t miss a thing.

2. It’s a Space to Share Your Tips and Learn from Your Teaching Colleagues

You can use our Facebook and Twitter pages to share ideas about teaching with fellow educators, respond to questions, and provide feedback to one another in an effort to further improve your teaching for our ACC students.

3. It Puts the News & Resources You Need to Know About at Your Fingertips

TLED takes the time to make finding the faculty support you need a little easier by sharing information about the types of services we have available for your teaching & learning journey.

4. It’s an Easy Way to Support ACC Student Interns

TLED recently invited a student to intern with us and manage our social media platforms, interview different departments, and write the blog posts for our newsletter. Each like, follow, share, and comment means that our student intern, Angela Bullard, learns more about what you (our faculty) want to see on our social platforms. This engagement online means that our student intern can learn to tailor our content AND get real-world experience for her future employment.
