Greetings, Classroom Faculty, and Happy Fall Semester!

Once again, it’s time for an update from Library Services. Read on for information about how we can help you, how you can help us, and how we can work together to help our students. Best wishes for a great semester and we hope to hear from you soon!

Help Build the Library Collection in your Subject Area

Your knowledge of curriculum subject material is vital to the appropriate development of ACC Libraries’ collections! If you have an item to suggest for purchase, contact your subject faculty librarian. Send your suggestions, reading lists, and media lists to your librarian via email or intercampus mail. For purchases this fiscal year, please request print or media items by March 15, 2019.

Library Instruction Sessions

Faculty librarians are committed to collaborating with classroom faculty to address research and information skills with your students. Whether the solution that works best for your course is a tailored Class Guide or an in-person library instruction session at your location, faculty librarians are excited to support the learning outcomes that are important to your classroom. Pinnacle Library Closed and San Gabriel Library Now Open

Following the successful model of assessing and relocating the collection of the Rio Grande Campus Library, the Pinnacle Library print collection was assessed with specific materials moved to support programs at their new home campuses and the majority of the materials relocated to where there was space – our Round Rock Campus Library. In addition and – as everyone knows – we opened another full-service library at the New San Gabriel Campus! Students, faculty, and staff at SGC have access to an expertly-curated collection of books, periodicals, and DVDs, as well as our 24/7 live reference assistance and 24/7 digital access to our sizeable eBook and full-text database collections.
