The first phase of the 2022 General Obligation Bond projects at the Austin Community College District (ACC) Eastview Campus is in the construction phase. This project includes a significant expansion of its Dental Hygiene Program facilities. <\/p>\n
Phase 1, which focuses on the Dental Hygiene Program in Building 8000, is allocated $8.5 million. The project is being designed by Lawrence Group Architects and constructed by Linbeck Group, LLC. <\/p>\n
The expansion will double the number of dental treatment rooms from 16 to 32, and renovate associated clinic spaces to create a modern and efficient learning environment. <\/p>\n
The lobby space between the main entry doors of Building 8000 also will be closed in to become part of the Dental Hygiene suite. <\/p>\n
First-floor classrooms and the campus administration suite in Building 8000 will also undergo renovations. The construction will cover a total of approximately 13,850 square feet.<\/p>\n
Why It\u2019s Happening<\/strong><\/p>\n By increasing the number of operatories and upgrading the facilities, the College will be able to admit more students and graduate more professionals into the dental hygiene workforce.
