This is one of the projects funded through the College\u2019s 2022 General Obligation Bond. As of early October, construction is approximately 35% complete.<\/p>\n<p>The project stretches across two buildings on campus. At the first building, all structural steel has been erected, marking a major milestone for the project. Crews are now working on constructing the masonry walls along the building\u2019s perimeter and interior. That phase is currently about 20% complete.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"547\" src=\"https:\/\/sites.austincc.edu\/2022-bond\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/234\/2025\/10\/Aerial-Bldg.-4000-under-construction-1024x547.png\" alt=\"slab of concrete with dirt around it. This is the foundation for the building coming\" class=\"wp-image-744\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sites.austincc.edu\/2022-bond\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/234\/2025\/10\/Aerial-Bldg.-4000-under-construction-1024x547.png 1024w, https:\/\/sites.austincc.edu\/2022-bond\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/234\/2025\/10\/Aerial-Bldg.-4000-under-construction-300x160.png 300w, https:\/\/sites.austincc.edu\/2022-bond\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/234\/2025\/10\/Aerial-Bldg.-4000-under-construction-768x411.png 768w, https:\/\/sites.austincc.edu\/2022-bond\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/234\/2025\/10\/Aerial-Bldg.-4000-under-construction-150x80.png 150w, https:\/\/sites.austincc.edu\/2022-bond\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/234\/2025\/10\/Aerial-Bldg.-4000-under-construction.png 1274w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n<p>Meanwhile, structural steel erection at the second building is scheduled to begin in early October and continue through the end of the month.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Key infrastructure work continues:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Chilled water piping has been inspected and approved for full burial.<\/li>\n<li>Installation of a sand and oil water separator is underway.<\/li>\n<li>In mid-October, crews will begin trenching and installing a permanent electrical duct bank.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>When complete, the Applied Technology expansion will provide advanced labs and learning spaces for high-demand programs such as construction, HVAC, and welding \u2014 expanding opportunities for hands-on workforce training in one of the fastest-growing regions in Central Texas.<\/p>\n<p>To follow progress and learn more about ACC bond projects, visit <a href=\"http:\/\/austincc.edu\/bond\">austincc.edu\/bond<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Austin Community College District (ACC) continues to make progress on the Round Rock Campus Applied Technology expansion.
