Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Month 2023

Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Month Celebration

May is Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month. It is a time we honor the achievements and contributions of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in the United States.

The Austin Community College District (ACC) commemorated the month in 2023 with a series of events to provide our community with opportunities to explore and learn about different AAPI-themed topics and interests.

As we celebrate the diverse and vibrant cultures and contributions of the AAPI community in this country, we also recognize the hardships and devastation endured by generations of AAPI individuals in the face of discrimination, exclusion, and violence.

Let us come together as a community to learn and celebrate AAPI communities and continue to work towards building a more equitable and inclusive future for all.
