Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Month 2025

Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month, observed every May, honors the rich cultures, traditions, and contributions of AAPI communities. This month recognizes the diverse histories, achievements, and experiences of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, highlighting their vital role in shaping our society.
As we celebrate the vibrant cultures and contributions of the AAPI community, we also acknowledge the hardships and devastation endured by generations of AAPI individuals amid discrimination, exclusion, and violence.
In honor of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month, Austin Community College proudly hosted a day of learning, reflection, and celebration on May 3, 2025. Through this special event, students, faculty, and community members came together to uplift AAPI voices through immersive workshops and a vibrant musical concert.
