The Asian American and Pacific Islander Cultural Center was established in the summer of 2022 as a result of efforts by the ACC students, faculty and staff as well as local AAPI community advocates to “Lynn” Lau began her tenure as the inaugural Director of the AAPI Cultural Center in June 2022. Prior to that, she founded ACC’s Chinese program and has been teaching Chinese in the World Languages Department since 2006. She has also been a Chinese language and cultural consultant for more than two decades.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Born in China and raised in Hong Kong, Lynn earned her M.A. in Chinese from the University of Wisconsin at Madison and B.A. in Translation and Interpretation from the City University of Hong Kong. She speaks three Chinese languages, including Mandarin, Cantonese, and Teochew (a Southern Min language).\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n In her spare time, Lynn enjoys literature, linguistics, web design,
