Austin Community College trustees approved a new school seal. President Dan Angel explained that the seal should be more than an interesting design on official documents and advertising. A seal is part of a “brand” that reflects institutional identity and values. The new ACC seal featured the date the College opened its doors, an open book, the torch of enlightenment, and laurel branches that for generations have symbolized earning a college degree. President Angel wanted the seal to convey the stability derived from teaching and learning.
