Austin Community College and the University of Texas’ College of Education completed a new arrangement, the “Transfer Articulation Agreement.” whereby ACC students who earn an associate’s degree could transfer credits for basic education requirements to the University of Texas’ College of Education freely, meaning that those students would lose no credits when they transferred and would receive those credits without delays caused by transcript evaluations and reviews of course catalogs.

ACC President Dan Angel said”We want to help our students succeed, and that means providing them with as many opportunities for advancement as possible…. This agreement lets ACC students move directly into a four-year degree program … without losing credits or time, and that means a lot to our students ….Our students are workingb hard to achieve their goals. We think we should work just as hard to make those goals easily attainable.”
