ACCT 2301 – Principles of Accounting I – Financial

For Fall 16, the following accounting instructors will be using:
Corporate Financial Accounting, with Cengage Now, 13th ed, Reeve, Warren, Duchac, ISBN: 9781305776128

  • Reed Peoples
  • Jay Thibodeaux

All other faculty will use:
Horngren’s Financial and Managerial Accounting with MyAccountingLab, 5th ed, Miller-Nobles, Mattison, Matsumura, Pearson. ISBN: 9780134078939.

For both books, there are 3 options:

  • A student may purchase a hard copy of the textbook. These are custom books and include the required homework software (Cengage Now or MyAccountingLab). These books can only be purchased through the local Austin bookstores, specifically at ACC Bookstore or directly from the publisher.
  • If the text is acquired separately, the student must still purchase access to the homework system which goes with the text (either Cengage Now or MyAccountingLab).  Please note: While the text may be available used, the access codes cannot be sold “used”. They won’t work. As a result, buying a used text and a new access code separately is usually the most expensive option.
  • A student may purchase the E-Book, by only buying the access code for the homework system. When a student purchases the access code for either text, it comes with the E-Book which is the least expensive option. A link to purchase the access code, specific to ACC, will be available through the instructor’s Blackboard site. A student must be able to “bring” the E-Book to class.
