Keep Austin Weird? You bet! Come join the ACC Creative Writing Department 15 June, 730pm on the Highland Campus to do your part in keeping Austin weird, and fight censorship! The performance arts and the written word are under attack and to combat the censorship, our event will feature some of the best drag performers Austin has to offer reading from and performing works of literature that are banned here in the US. Be prepared to be entertained! Be prepared to share in your 1st Amendment rights! Be prepared to take part in creativity and community! Let’s drag the bans, fight censorship and appreciate the expressive arts as they are meant to be seen, heard and enjoyed!
Light refreshments will be provided. ASL interpreters will be on- site.
