{"id":1477,"date":"2021-12-16T15:15:36","date_gmt":"2021-12-16T21:15:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sites.austincc.edu\/administrative-rules\/?p=1477"},"modified":"2025-06-26T15:20:29","modified_gmt":"2025-06-26T20:20:29","slug":"scholastic-achievement-awards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sites.austincc.edu\/administrative-rules\/?p=1477","title":{"rendered":"Scholastic Achievement Designations"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Value Statement<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Austin Community College District (&#8220;ACC&#8221; or &#8220;the College&#8221;) values academic excellence and recognizes students who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Administrative Rule<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Scholastic achievement by students will be recognized by the College at the completion of each semester in the following categories:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><u>Chancellor&rsquo;s Honor Designation\n<p><\/u>A student who has completed twelve (12) or more semester-credit hours of college credit course work at Austin Community College, and who achieved a grade point average (GPA) of 4.00 for that semester will be eligible for the Chancellor&rsquo;s Honor designation.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li><u>Scholastic Excellence Designation\n<p><\/u>A student who has completed twelve (12) or more semester-credit hours of college credit course work at Austin Community College, and who achieved a GPA of 3.75 or above for that semester will be eligible for the Scholastic Excellence designation.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li><u>Scholastic Leadership Designation\n<p><\/u>A student who has completed twelve (12) or more semester-credit hours of college credit course work at Austin Community College, and who achieved a GPA of 3.50 or above for that semester will be eligible for the Scholastic Leadership designation.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Notification of the achievement will appear on the student&rsquo;s official ACC transcript.&nbsp; A notation of the honor will appear on the diploma if the student&rsquo;s cumulative GPA upon graduation qualifies the student for a scholastic achievement designation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Value Statement The Austin Community College District (&#8220;ACC&#8221; or &#8220;the College&#8221;) values academic excellence and recognizes students who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement.
