{"id":1448,"date":"2021-09-07T17:13:57","date_gmt":"2021-09-07T23:13:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sites.austincc.edu\/afa\/?p=1448"},"modified":"2021-09-07T17:16:13","modified_gmt":"2021-09-07T23:16:13","slug":"special-election","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sites.austincc.edu\/afa\/special-election\/","title":{"rendered":"Special Election"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Adjunct Faculty Association Executive Council (AFAEC) voted on August 27<sup>th<\/sup> to conduct a special election in September to fill two Campus Representative vacancies and the Parliamentarian position for the AFAEC 2021-2022 AY.&nbsp;&nbsp; <br \/>The responsibilities of the Campus Representative and Parliamentarian positions are provided in the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/sites.austincc.edu\/afa\/bylaws\/\" target=\"_blank\">AFA bylaws<\/a>.&nbsp; The compensation for serving as a campus representative for next year is $2482\/year. The compensation for the Parliamentarian is $7446\/year. An adjunct <strong>does not<\/strong> have to teach at the campus to run for the representative position of that campus.&nbsp;  <br \/>If you wish to be a candidate for any of these positions in the special election, you must submit a statement of intent by 20<sup>th<\/sup> September. The election will be held Friday 01 October to 11: 59 PM Thursday 07 October.
