CNBT 2342 – Construction Management I

Human relations management skills in motivation on the job site. Topics include written and oral communications, leadership and motivation, problem solving, and decision making.

This course is an entry-level course designed to expose the student to the Construction Industry; duties of the Construction Manager, basic management principles and the Project Life Cycle.  Students learn about

  • the construction industry sectors
  • roles of participants in projects
  • how to organize and lead a construction project
  • how to deliver a project
  • chronology (phases) of a project
  • tasks during project design
  • information about bidding on a project
