Students may prepare for the A&P I Assessment Test on their own by utilizing the Self Preparation Assessment Objectives and Modules — OR — by Course Work. The Biology Department highly encourages students to take BIOL 1308: Biology Fundamentals or CE BIOL-4000: Anatomy and Physiology Assessment Test Prep Course.<\/p>\n
A&P I Assessment Objectives<\/a><\/p>\n A&P I Assessment Objectives consist of a comprehensive outline of all concepts covered on the assessment test. Students may need to utilize other resources for further explanation of the concepts<\/p>\n A&P I Self-Prep Modules<\/a><\/p>\n The A&P I Self-Prep Modules include slides, videos, and quizzes to provide a general foundation. However, please note that these modules are not as comprehensive as the Assessment Objectives.<\/p>\n BIOL 1308 is a regular academic course taught in the 8-, 12-, and 16- week sessions during the fall and spring and the 6- and 11- week sessions during the summer. The course offers an in-depth review of basic biological concepts and material.<\/p>\n BIOL 1406 is a general biology course designed for students with a strong science background who desire and in-depth approach to biological topics and to prepare for Biology courses.<\/p>\n The Biology Department offers a short “prep” course at various times throughout the year in conjunction with Continuing Education to refresh students’ knowledge of high school biology and chemistry and help students prepare for the Course Readiness Assessment test required for registration in BIOL 2401 (A&P I). Students wishing to sign up for the class should enroll in BIOL-4000.
