It\u2019s important to understand that these requests aren\u2019t handled automatically.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Before moving forward, please note:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You must be in <strong>good standing<\/strong> with your current instructor.<\/li>\n<li>Both course sections must occur within the <strong>same session<\/strong>. You cannot transfer from an 8-week course into a 16-week course or vice versa.<\/li>\n<li>The Biology Department will not overload any face-to-face lecture or lab sections due to safety guidelines.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>How to Request an Informal Transfer<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Before contacting instructors, gather this information:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Your <strong>ACCeID<\/strong> (e.g., 0101010)<\/li>\n<li>The full <strong>course name and section number you want to transfer into<\/strong> (e.g., BIOL 2401-001)<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>course synonym<\/strong> for the section you&#8217;re requesting (e.g., 55225)<\/li>\n<li>Name of both instructors (your current instructor and the instructor for the new section)<\/li>\n<li>Your <strong>unofficial transcript<\/strong> (if prerequisites apply)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Instructions:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Email <strong>both<\/strong> instructors:\n<ul>\n<li>Your current instructor<\/li>\n<li>The instructor for the class you want to transfer into<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Clearly state that you&#8217;re requesting an informal transfer and include the full details of the section you\u2019re trying to join (e.g., BIOL 2401-001, Synonym 55225).
