Campuses remain closed until 4/13. Classes resume online Monday, 3/30 | Students, Faculty & Staff

Dear ACC Community,

In an effort to help contain the spread of COVID-19 in our region, Austin Community College has made the difficult decision to keep campuses closed to students and the public until Monday, April 13.  Spring classes will resume remotely on Monday, March 30, as previously announced.

Your health, safety, and well-being are our first concern. This extended closure allows us to comply with the stay-at-home orders issued this week by the City of Austin and Travis and Williamson counties.

Online classes will continue as planned, and on-site classes will transition to remote learning. All face-to-face instruction and services are suspended until further notice.

We understand many students did not choose online as their delivery of instruction. However,ACC faculty and staff are committed to doing everything possible to ease the transition. Many hours have been dedicated to ensure students have virtual access to the support and resources they need to finish the semester strong.

During this period, campuses will be open only to essential personnel and faculty and staff who are working to facilitate online instruction and remote work. We encourage all employees who require access to offices and equipment to try to get what they need on or before Friday. This is an evolving situation and things may change.

We recognize these changes are not easy, but your community college is here to support you. I am proud of the resiliency I’ve seen from our students, faculty, and staff. This is a time for us to come together and support one another like never before. I encourage you to follow the latest news and review the many resources available on ACC’s COVID-19 informational webpage. You will also want to check your email for updates that impact you directly.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. We will get through this together.
