COVID-19 Health & Safety Protocols

Your safety matters. Austin Community College District’s health and safety protocols follow guidance from the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Texas Department of Health Services, and local health departments. 

The college supports the use of face masks on campus and encourages social distancing to help reduce the risk of transmission of COVID-19 and better ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all students, faculty, and staff, especially those who are most at-risk.

COVID-19 Reporting


Self-reporting is no longer required of ACC students and employees who experience COVID-19-related symptoms or have a confirmed case of COVID-19.

Those who are sick should report in sick and NOT come to campus or work. Please follow your healthcare provider’s instructions or the CDC Guidance: Isolation and Exposure Calculator for your specific isolation and return to work or return to campus requirements.

As always, call 911 for emergency situations.

COVID-19 Vaccinations

ACC works closely with regional health groups to offer on-campus COVID-19 vaccination clinics for eligible members of the community as demand and need indicate. Opportunities will be posted on the college’s COVID-19 vaccine webpage.

Face mask Protocols

Effective Monday, March 21, 2022, face masks are optional.
