John Herndon studied languages and literature, the classics and philosophy at the University of Texas. From 1984 to 1997, he was a Columnist and critic for the Austin American-Statesman. Since 1982, he has taught at ACC, where he serves as Associate Director of the Balcones Center for Creative Writing. His books include Survival Notes, Poems from Undertown, Where Three Roads Meet, Road Trip Through the Four Spheres, Proof That the World is Real, and Mapping the Debris Field. He has published poems, articles, essays and reviews in Exquisite Corpse, New Laurel Review, Sniper Logic, Skanky Possum, Gas, Mike and Dale’s Younger Poets, and elsewhere.
