Culinary Advising for Current Students
Culinary advising is a crucial step for all culinary students. Advising allows us to ensure that there are enough seats available to culinary students by approving courses based on the student’s progression and status in the program.
Current and Former culinary students will need to follow the procedures below to meet requirement for registration:
Plan for Advising. Students must submit a Student Petition and Program Evaluation (both found under Forms and Links) as part of the advising process to have culinary courses unlocked for registration. If you have not reviewed your Degree Plan, Course Schedule to build a schedule, or Registration Eligibility Times to find out when you are eligible to register, this is the time to plan your semester.
Classes may fill quickly and being prepared will ensure you get the classes you need.
Get classes unlocked. Culinary course are not available for general registration and are locked. Advising allows us to ensure that there are enough seats available to students within our programs. Culinary students must advise each semester by submitting a current Student Petition and Program Evaluation to have culinary courses unlocked for registration.
When you are prepared, contact a Culinary Advisor to schedule an advising appointment.
*Returning students must have an up-to-date food handler’s certificate on file.
