This week\u2019s Standard is a short one! Enjoy the break from my LENGTHY messages. I\u2019m afraid it won\u2019t last long.<\/p>\n
We only have a few more weeks in the semester. We are doing what a few months ago would have seemed impossible. Moving an entire college online? What? I\u2019m inspired by the way you have all rallied around our students. I keep hearing from our administrators how proud they are of the work of the faculty, and I share that pride. Please know that your good work is being noticed and appreciated.<\/p>\n
5\/8\/20 Senate Meeting noon -2pm<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 will be held online. Details for how to join can be found on the Senate Calendar. You can also add the event (and online joining details) to your own calendar by clicking the link above. This is the\u00a0second call<\/strong>\u00a0for agenda items for our May meeting. Please send items for consideration to me at\u00a0mpatters@austincc.edu<\/a>\u00a0or to your campus senator by Friday, May 1.<\/p>\n Thinking about the FALL [due 4\/30] \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>Provost Charles Cook has asked me to participate in a meeting about planning for Fall 2020. I have already gotten feedback from the Senate Leadership team, but if you have suggestions for how we can ensure a safe adjustment to our new normal, I would value them. Just email me at\u00a0mpatters@austincc.edu<\/a>\u00a0with things you think should be considered. The meeting will be on 5\/1, hence the need for a quick turnaround.<\/p>\n Annual Educational Level Adjustment<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Human Resources is now going through the process of updating faculty education levels.
