Senate Meeting April 12 <\/strong><\/td><\/tr>
We are holding a Faculty Senate meeting this Friday. You can find the tentative agenda here<\/a>. For all faculty attending the meeting (online or in person), please everyone do not forget to RSVP<\/a>  by this Wednesday at 8pm.  For Senators who will miss the meeting, please have a proxy for the meeting.

Faculty Needed for the Theory of Change Steering Committee<\/strong><\/td><\/tr>
The Theory of Change Steering Committee is a diverse group of representatives from across the college, including each employee association, which began two years ago as the Strategic Planning Steering Committee. Over the next three years, this committee, chaired by Dr. Lowery-Hart, Dr. Umphrey, and Dr. Croft, will advise and support the Theory of Change Design and Implementation process, including determining initiative priority, partnering with the design teams to finalize proposals, and serving as co-chairs of design teams. 

We need two faculty members to join this committee. These nominees will be expected to attend two kick-off events on May 14th & 15th.

Teaching and Learning Academy<\/strong><\/td><\/tr>
Developed for faculty by faculty, the Teaching and Learning Academy (TLA) is a four-course program based on evidence-based teaching strategies, reflective practice, and teaching innovation. The program is designed to support faculty in a cohort model in which faculty learn from each other by exploring the scholarship, art, and passion of teaching. Faculty who complete the TLA get 15 hours of professional development credit, a $1200 stipend, and a digital badge. 

Interested faculty may visit the TLA website<\/a> for more information about the 2024-2025 year-long program and can apply here<\/a>.<\/td><\/tr>

ACC\u2019s New College Values Survey<\/strong>
Please fill out the survey on faculty behaviors reflecting the values of Compassion, Courage, Joy, and Yes. Your input will guide how the values are incorporated into the Faculty Evaluation process. Thanks to the ones who have already filled out our survey.  Here is a link<\/a> to the  survey. The deadline is Friday, April 12 by 5 p.m<\/strong>.

New Student Evaluation Questionnaire<\/strong>We are looking for faculty to pilot the new student evaluations.  If interested, please confirm here<\/strong><\/a> by noon on April 15th<\/strong>. You can look over the proposed course evaluation questions here<\/a>.

Data Engagement for Student Success<\/strong>
The DESS workgroup is gathering this information through a short (5-10 minutes), anonymous, Data Literacy Assessment<\/a>.  Please complete this short assessment by Friday, April 12<\/strong>. 

The workgroup plans to use the assessment results to provide targeted training that can improve the data-informed decision-making process.
