Deja – Art Acevedo Scholarship Recipient
My name is Deja and I am a single mother pursuing a career in criminal justice, with the hope to one day become a juvenile probation officer. The only goal that I have is to inspire and be the change in my community and I hope to do that with my degree and through volunteering. Although I struggle with my finances, I just want to show people of all ages that anything is possible you just have to want it bad enough! It doesn’t matter where you come from or what color your skin is, anything can be achieved.
