Welcome to Heating, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Technology

In the ACC Air Conditioning & Refrigeration program students can acquire a Certificate and/or an Associate Degree in Applied Science in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration.

Certificate

The Certificate consists of 29 credit hours and can be completed in one year if the student is taking a minimum of 12 credit hours each semester.

Upon completion of the Certificate program this student should possess the knowledge and skills to troubleshoot and repair heating and cooling split systems, which are typically found in residences and apartment complexes.

The Associate Degree of Applied Science (AAS)

The AAS degree program consists of 60 credit hours and is often referred to as the “two year” program.  It is a continuation of the Certificate program and progresses into Industrial and Commercial Air Conditioning and Refrigeration equipment and systems.  The AAS also includes Heat Pumps, System Design, and the Mechanical Code.

The Associate Degree can open the doors for the student that has the desire to enter into the air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Technology field in either residential, commercial or industrial applications.
