HART has a wide variety of equipment for students to work on, including the
- 90+ updraft systems
- horizontal gas and electric system in conventional split and heat pump systems
- State of the art 19+ SEER Trane systems
- new Carrier Infinity System
- several Puron R410A Bryan and Carrier systems.
Residential Units, Rooftop unit
There are a number of window units with programmed faults which students diagnose and repair
Condensers contain compressors and work in concert with the air units and evaporators inside the building
Inside is the blower motor, the furnace assembly and the evaporator
Commercial Refrigerator/Freezer (HART 2442 Commercial Refrigeration)
Commercial walk-in Freezer/Cooler “Einstein” programmable Controller panel
Control panel is next to the door of the walk-in freezer
Evaporator unit and fan motor on the refrigerator side
The commercial unit’s evaporator is in the freezer.
Refrigerant recovery
Refrigerant is recovered with the “stinger”, then a vacuum pump removes the noncondensibles such as air and moisture.
Bacharach “stinger” recovery unit with service cylinder
The filter collects dirt and other non condensibles such as air and moisture
Vacuum pump evacuates the system down to 29.9 inches vacuum. Digital vacuum gauge used to determine the micron evacuation level.
Electronic scale, which is accurate to within 1/4 ounce, is used to weigh and dispense refrigerant charges
