Good academic standing indicates that the student has an average of at least 75 or above in Radiography courses.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Your transcripts will be reviewed by the college and the department for transferrable credits.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Applicants must <\/span><b>be a student of<\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.austincc.edu\/admissions\"><b> ACC<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> and satisfy all General Admission requirements.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Complete a lab skills test to evaluate your knowledge if required by the Program Director.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Review the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/sites.austincc.edu\/health\/programs\/handbooks\/#radr\"><b>Radiology Student Handbook<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Complete the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/sites.austincc.edu\/health\/radr\/info-session\/\"><b>Radiology Information Session<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> and print out the post-test verification email.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Obtain transcripts for coursework taken at any schools other than ACC. Your GPA in prerequisite courses is 60% or your ranking score.<\/li>\n<li>A sample admission ranking formula can be found <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/open?id=1Ax7GykAxj58N2OhMvFWoN68ke9PSPMDr\">here<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Final ranking scores are arranged from the highest score to the lowest score and the top 50 applicants are offered a position in the program. <a class=\"popup-radr-admission-data\" href=\"https:\/\/sites.austincc.edu\/health\/radr\/apply\/#selection-process\">Click here<\/a> to see competitive admission data.<\/li>\n<li>In the event someone declines a position or does not respond by the stated deadline, the program will offer the position to the applicant next in line in the ranking.<\/li>\n<li>Offers of admission are emailed to the applicant\u2019s ACC email account in February.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1772817237292{margin-bottom: 20px !important;}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Provisional Admission Information<\/span><\/h4>\n<p>Admission to the Radiology program\u00a0is provisional until the following clinical requirements are met. Please arrange to be available during the approximate time periods. This includes the clinical observation orientation and 4-hour observation unless a waiver is authorized by the program director. <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.austincc.edu\/health\/contact\/\">Contact the Radiology program office<\/a> for more information and for the waiver form.<\/li>\n<li>Once the 1-deferral limit is reached, the student must re-apply with a new application, meet all current admission criteria, and be ranked with all other applicants for admission consideration.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=&#8221;Special Notes&#8221; tab_id=&#8221;special-notes&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You are encouraged to view the <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.austincc.edu\/health\/radr\/faq\/\">Radiology FAQ<\/a> for more information about the program.<\/li>\n<li>Students wanting to transfer from another Radiology program in the State of Texas, please read the department\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/open?id=1OATZEVX57AGx33JbrhaqxQUWAU2-oYFv\">Statement on the Transfer of Radiology Course credits<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Students interested in the Radiology program are advised to be diligent and proactive in routinely reviewing this website for updates to the application process and\/or the degree plan and for department announcements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Taking required prerequisite courses over for a higher grade:<\/h4>\n<p>Understanding that students need an opportunity to improve what may have been a &#8220;false start&#8221; in college, repeated course grades will be considered. If a course is repeated, the higher of the first two qualifying grades (A, B, or C) will be considered in the admission ranking formula. Only courses completed by the application deadline will be considered.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Exception:<\/strong>\u00a0Applicants submitting a reapplication can have courses in progress in the Fall semester since the reapplication deadline is October 1 \u2013 December 1.
