[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1759758776627{margin-bottom: 10px !important;}”]To protect patients and to provide a safe environment for students, staff, and the public, all students and faculty who participate in clinicals\/practicum are required to get the current seasonal flu vaccine. Failure to get this immunization may have implications for clinical attendance. For more information about the flu vaccine, click here<\/a>.<\/p>\n Students who apply to the Veterinary Technology program are not required to get the flu vaccine.<\/strong><\/p>\n Students must provide documentation of a flu shot that includes your name, date of birth, the date administered, name of vaccine administered, lot number and expiration date of the vaccine<\/strong> of the appropriate season’s flu vaccination. This information can be a receipt from the provider as long as all information is included. If using a clinic form, it must include the provider’s name, signature, and date.<\/p>\n To find resources from the Texas Department of State Health Services, click here<\/a>. You may also contact your physician or other retail facilities offering the flu vaccine (HEB, CVS, Walgreens, etc).
