Has correct and incorrect examples. Shows rules applied. Links rules to other on-line and hard copy references. <\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li>Writing Style Guide. Emphasis is on how to write clearly, accurately, and correctly. Produced by California State University, Chico. <\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li>Grammar, Punctuation, and Capitilization: A Handbook for Technical Writers and Editors. Only two chapters are on-line, <a href=\"http:\/\/sti.larc.nasa.gov\/html\/Chapt3\/Chapt3-TOC.html\">Punctuation<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/sti.larc.nasa.gov\/html\/Chapt4\/Chapt4_TOC.html\">Capitalization<\/a> . Published by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. Written by Mary McCaskill. <\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.rpi.edu\/dept\/llc\/writecenter\/web\/text\/proseman.html\">Basic Prose Style and Mechanics<\/a>. Written by Craig Waddell. <\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/webster.commnet.edu\/HP\/pages\/darling\/grammar.htm\">Guide to Grammar and Good Writing<\/a>. Written for author Charles Darling&#8217;s English courses at Capital Community-Technical College, Hartford, Connecticut. Especially good is the section, &#8220;Plague Words and Phrases.&#8221; <\/li>\n<p>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color:#CC0000\">Older Guides<\/span><br \/>\nThe following two guides are old, so some rules and conventions about writing have changed. Still, they will prove useful about most matters.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cc.columbia.edu\/acis\/bartleby\/strunk\/\">Elements of Style<\/a> (1918), by William A. Strunk. Up-to-date edition available in hard copy.  <\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cc.columbia.edu\/acis\/bartleby\/fowler\/\">The King&#8217;s English<\/a> (2nd. ed., 1908), by H. W. Fowler. Has British usage, which varies at some points from that used in the United States. (For example, the use of quotation marks.)  <\/li>\n<p>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color:#CC0000\">OA Humorous Look at Writing Style<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li> How to Rite Reel Gud. Wait until you&#8217;ve mastered the principles of good writing before seeing them applied here. (The author of this list is unknown.
