1. Jennifer and Maggie from Macmillan made a presentation of the New Edition of Roark, The American Promise.<\/p>\n
2. The Department passed the following resolution regarding e-staffing:
\n\u201cOn 10 April 2015 the faculty of the Department of History resolves that: Austin Community College adopt a policy for scheduling adjunct faculty in which individual Departments annually determine their participation in eStaffing by a majority vote of that Department\u2019s adjunct faculty.\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n
The Department then discussed the consideration and selection of the Highest Priority to Hire designation and will vote on proposed consideration and selection criteria by e-mail.<\/p>\n
3. Marlette spoke of the importance of the Adjunct Faculty Evaluations and the need to provide full information on the Faculty Input Form and in the portfolio.<\/p>\n
4. Cam announced the Fall Emeritus Professors Lectures would feature Dr. Michael Stoff and Dr. Bruce Hunt, both of the UT History Department, speaking about the atomic bombs attacks that ended World War II on the 70th anniversary of the event. The Lecture will be October 17th, 2015 at EVC.<\/p>\n
