Sports, radio serials, comics, personalities and politics are all considered. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/livingnewdeal.org\" target=\"_blank\"> The Living New Deal <\/a><br \/>\nAn excellent site for histories of New Deal projects then and now. Lots of useful links to other websites, bibliographies, and films. Make sure to look at the <a href=\"https:\/\/livingnewdeal.org\/map\/\" target=\"_blank\"> Interactive Map <\/a> to see the extent of New Deal projects. Pictures of New Deal projects in Austin can be found <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mystatesman.com\/gallery\/entertainment\/night-life\/old-stuff-new-deal-austin\/gCbZ6\/#9730877\" target=\"_blank\"> here <\/a> and an interactive map can be found <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mystatesman.com\/interactive\/map\/new-deal-projects-austin\/\" target=\"_blank\"> here<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/memory.loc.gov\/ammem\/wpaintro\/wpahome.html\" target=\"_blank\"> American Life Histories: 1936-1940 <\/a><br \/>\nPart of the Federal Writers Project  held in the Library of Congress.  This site includes some 2,900 documents by more than  300 writers from 24 states. &#8220;Typically 2,000-15,000 words in length, the documents consist of drafts and revisions, varying in form from narrative to dialogue to report to case history. The histories describe the informant&#8217;s family education, income, occupation, political views, religion and mores, medical needs, diet and miscellaneous observations.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pbs.org\/wgbh\/americanexperience\/collections\/1930s\/\" target=\"_blank\">The 1930s: American Experience <\/a><br \/>\nEpisodes in the PBS Series include: CCC, Dustbowl, Riding the Rails, The Great Crash,  and Hoover Dam. It takes some searching to find what you are loking for on this site, but there is a variety of interesting images, documents,  articles and more.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gwu.edu\/%7Eerpapers\/\" target=\"_blank\"> The Eleanor Roosevelt Papers Project <\/a><br \/>\nThe site, maintaind by George Washingotn University,  is primarily text &#8211; transcripts of Roosevelt&#8217;s speeches, newspaper columns and other writings.  <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.english.illinois.edu\/maps\/depression\/depression.htm\" target=\"_blank\"> The Great Depression <\/a><br \/>\nA good introduction to some topics concerning the Depression Era. The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.english.illinois.edu\/maps\/depression\/photoessay.htm\" target=\"_blank\"> Photo Essay <\/a> is worthy of particular attention. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/photogrammar.yale.edu\" target=\"_blank\"> Photogrammar <\/a><br \/>\nAnother fascinating photography site maintatined by Yale University. The site includes a database of some 170,000 photgraphs of of America during the Depression and WWII. The <a href=\"http:\/\/photogrammar.yale.edu\/map\/\">interactive map <\/a> allows you to view images taken from individual counties across the US. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.austincc.edu\/lpatrick\/his2341.htm\" target=\"_blank\"> History 2341 &#8211; Depression America, 1929-1941 <\/a><br \/>\nACC History Professor L. Patrick Hughes has created a useful site for his &#8220;Depression America&#8221; course. The site has lectures, essays, power point presentations, bibliographies and other links.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/research.udmercy.edu\/find\/special_collections\/digital\/coughlin\/index.php\" target=\"_blank\">The Influence of Father Charles E.
