The grand opening ceremony for the ACC Bioscience Incubator was held at Highland Mall on Tuesday, January 31,<\/span>\u00a02017. \u00a0A musical performance by ACC students welcomed visitors before the ceremony, which featured messages from Dr. Barbara Mink, Dr. Richard Rhodes, and Dr. Tyler Drake on the incubator\u2019s impact on ACC students and central Texas\u2019 economy. \u00a0Mr. Tom Kowalski, Texas Healthcare and Bioscience Institute President\/CEO, also spoke on the importance of ACC\u2019s partnerships in transforming the community. ACC student and Bioscience Incubator intern, Marcia McCallum, highlighted the event by telling her personal story of returning to school after raising her children and finding a love for science and technology. A ribbon cutting and tours of the Bioscience Incubator followed the ceremony.
