{"id":2148,"date":"2018-05-03T14:56:50","date_gmt":"2018-05-03T14:56:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sites.austincc.edu\/incubator\/?p=2148"},"modified":"2018-05-15T19:35:15","modified_gmt":"2018-05-15T19:35:15","slug":"nacce-honors-acc-for-bioscience-incubator","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sites.austincc.edu\/incubator\/nacce-honors-acc-for-bioscience-incubator\/","title":{"rendered":"NACCE Honors ACC for Bioscience Incubator"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[et_pb_section bb_built=&#8221;1&#8243;][et_pb_row][et_pb_column type=&#8221;4_4&#8243;][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;3.1.1&#8243;]<\/p>\n<p>The National Association of Community College Entrepreneurship (NACCE)\u00a0\u00a0named Austin Community College (ACC) as one-of-five community colleges institutions demonstrating entrepreneurial excellence at the Entrepreneurial College of Excellence Awards breakfast during the American Association of Community College\u2019s annual conference April 30 in Dallas.<\/p>\n<p>The competition invited NACCE member colleges that have signed the Presidents For Entrepreneurship Pledge (PFEP)to self-nominate as a \u201ccollege of excellence\u201d in one of the five steps outlined in the pledge to advance entrepreneurship in their communities.<\/p>\n<p>ACC was recognized for their work engaging the life sciences industry cluster through the Bioscience Incubator.\u00a0\u201cThe awards recognize innovative work that members are doing,\u201d said NACCE President and CEO Rebecca Corbin. \u201cBy winning this award, community colleges enhance their credibility to document success and attract investment in entrepreneurship in their local community.
