Graduates can work within a variety of careers from network administrators to computer programmers to those specializing in system and security administration. A few of our newest degrees are from the areas of testing, game development, and help desk. As the industry evolves, so do our course offerings, degrees, and certificates.<\/p>\n<p>The Computer Studies area is differentiated into two areas, Computer Science and Computer Information Technology. <span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff\" href=\"https:\/\/sites.austincc.edu\/cis\/associate-of-applied-science\/\">Associate degrees<\/a><\/span> in Computer Science are designed for students planning to continue their studies with a four-year institution.<\/p>\n<p>Computer Information Technology<span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff\" href=\"https:\/\/sites.austincc.edu\/cis\/degree-plans\/\"> degrees<\/a><\/span> and<span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff\" href=\"https:\/\/sites.austincc.edu\/cis\/certificate-plans\/\"> certificates<\/a><\/span> include courses from the Arts and Sciences curricula, as well as a wide array of computer courses designed to train students for entry level positions.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #3366ff\"><a style=\"color: #3366ff\" href=\"#top\">Return to top<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Computer Studies is a constantly evolving field with a dynamic nature that consistently propels the need for competent qualified computer science professionals.
